Calling On The Name of The Lord Take 2

If you have already spent a week or two softly, warmly, lovingly calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, as I detailed in my earlier post dated February 21, 2021, (https://adeeperchristianlife.blogspot.com/2021/02/my-go-to-way-to-experience-jesus-christ.html), here's another way to engage the Lord that can augment the way(s) you approach Him now:

Experiment with how softly and quietly you can call, “Lord Jesus.”

Can you call His name with your head on your pillow without waking your spouse?

Can you call His name in the grocery store check out line, or while riding in the elevator, or in a conversation without someone else hearing you?

See how quietly you can call Him and still hear your voice.

Do that throughout the day, every day for a week or two, and notice how much closer you and your Lord are to one another.

Then after that, spend another week or two continuing this practice, but making sure you wait upon Him and discern His presence.

If it pleases our Lord to draw you closer to Him with this practice, you may feel “tighter” than ever with the Savior.

Again, just as I directed in the first post dated Feb. 21, 2021, don't use His name like a mantra and mindlessly repeat it over and over.

Be slow, measured, deliberate -- and most importantly, intentional -- each time you call upon Him. And then wait for Him. Your Lord resides in the deepest part of you. His Spirit will guide you and lead you into all truth and all spiritual reality in the heavens with Him.

And just to be clear, this deepest part of you does not reside in the physical realm. This truest you is hidden with Him, in God, in the heavenly realm. And where you are, in Him, unbelievers cannot come, just as our Lord indicated when He was on the earth.

Once you get the hang of calling upon the name of the Lord Jesus and feeling Him near you, welling up with you, moving within you, holding you, embracing you, dancing with you, you and your walk with Christ will never be the same.

This is one of those heavenly treasures that no thief can ever take away from you.

May the Lord reveal Himself to you in a rich, new way through this glorious practice.
